Terms of Use / EULA
Last updated: October 11, 2026
Agreement between you and Seattle Intelligence Labs Inc. for the Morning macOS application and askmorning.com. Contact: support@askmorning.com.
1. The product
Morning is a local dictation and notch utility for Mac. Official builds may include a time-limited trial and require a license key after the trial.
2. License grant
When you purchase (or receive a valid gift license) and activate Morning, Seattle Intelligence Labs Inc. grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Morning on one (1) Mac you own or control at a time (contact support to move it to a new Mac), for lifetime use of Morning, including all future updates we release for it.
3. Updates
Your license includes lifetime updates: every future Morning release, at no extra cost, while your license remains valid (not refunded, revoked or charged back). Updates may require a supported macOS version.
4. Trial
Official trial builds may run for three (3) days (72 hours) from trial start. When the trial ends without a valid license, Morning will stop providing the product features (including the notch experience and speech model) until you activate. Circumventing the trial or license checks is not allowed.
5. License keys
Keys are personal. Do not share, resell, or publish them. We may revoke keys obtained fraudulently or after a chargeback/dispute. Activation requires an internet connection once. Morning then re-checks the license about every 7 days when online and keeps working offline for up to 30 days between successful checks. A license is valid on one Mac at a time.
6. Acceptable use
Do not reverse engineer except where prohibited by law to be restricted, attack our licensing service, or use Morning in violation of applicable law.
7. Intellectual property
Morning, branding, and site content belong to Seattle Intelligence Labs Inc. or its licensors. Open-source components retain their own licenses (see the app’s About / LICENSE notices). Upstream MIT notices remain intact.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy at askmorning.com/privacy explains data practices.
9. Refunds
See askmorning.com/refunds. In summary we offer a 14-day no-questions refund on first paid purchase unless otherwise required by law.
10. Disclaimer
Morning is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. On-device recognition accuracy varies by microphone, accent, and environment.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Seattle Intelligence Labs Inc.’s total liability for any claim relating to Morning or the site is limited to the amount you paid us for Morning in the twelve (12) months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profits damages.
12. Termination
These terms apply while you use Morning. Sections on IP, disclaimer, liability, and governing law survive.
13. Governing law
Laws of the State of Washington, USA, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Washington State have exclusive jurisdiction, unless consumer law in your country requires otherwise.
14. Changes
We may update these terms by posting a new version on askmorning.com. Continued use after the effective date accepts the changes, except where local law requires acceptance another way.
